The scoop hand or shoulder bag is a simple design to be made in a plain leather or suede. It can also be decorated with toscana or mongolian lamb. I have also found the design works well in hair cowhide. The zip fastening can be plain or have a metal or fringed zip pull. With the metal zip pull the zip will need extra care to pull in a straight line as the pull can slightly restrict the zip although I have not had any problems with this so far. The strap can be short to carry in the hand or over the arm or longer as a shoulder strap. Size can vary but my regular size has a thirteen inch zip, measures ten inches from the centre of the zip to the base and about fourteen inches across the bag at the top. Thirteen inches across half way down.
